I just finally admitted that I’m never going to finish reading Henry Miller’s Tropic of Cancer. That’s not a knock against it. My main takeaway is that I now understand how so many writers were influenced by it. Or maybe it’s that he talks of disillusionment, and we live in such a disillusioning time…. Anyway, I encountered a word I’d never seen!!!!!!!
